ABOUT ME
NATIVE TO THE BAY AREA, I RECEIVED MY BACHELORS DEGREE IN BIOLOGY AT UC DAVIS. I HAD A SHORT CAREER IN BIOTECH BEFORE DECIDING TO MAKE A COMPLETE CAREER SHIFT TO HEALTH AND FITNESS. AFTER RETURNING TO THE PENINSULA FROM THE SACRAMENTO AREA, I OBTAINED MY NASM PERSONAL TRAINING CERTIFICATION. WANTING TO BETTER SERVE MY CLIENTS, I SHADOWED AND RECEIVED COUNTLESS CLINICAL HOURS UNDER DIFFERENT PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, ALLOWING ME TO GET AN IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF BIOMECHANICS, THERAPEUTIC MODALTIEIS, RANGE OF MOTION, REGRESSIVE EXERCISES, AND STRENGTHENING. PAIRED WITH MY CERTIFICATION I’VE BEEN ABLE TO SERVE COUNTLESS PEOPLE DURING THEIR TRANSFORMATION NO MATTER WHAT THEIR CAPABILITIES, INJURIES, AND LIMITATIONS ARE.
JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, MY JOURNEY STARTED SOMEWHERE AND LOOKING BACK, TAKING UP RESISTANCE TRAINING WAS BY FAR THE BEST THING I’VE DONE FOR MYSELF AND I STRIVE TO DO THE SAME FOR OTHERS. GROWING UP IT HAS BOOSTED MY CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF, AND MY PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES. I LOVE INSTILLING THIS SAME EXACT MINDSET WITHIN MY CLIENTS. ITS EASY TO PUT LIMITATIONS ON OURSELVES. TO HAVE A PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS ON WHAT WE CAN AND CANNOT DO AS INDIVIDUALS, BUT THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A COACH IS BREAKING THAT WALL THAT WE’VE BUILT AND PUSHING EVERYONE PAST THEIR LIMITS! EACH AND EVERYTIME I SEE MY CLIENTS SUCCEED I’M GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS AND MILESTONES EVERY STEP OF THE WAY AND THERE IS NO GREATER FEELING.
DESPITE COMING FROM A BIOTECH BACKGROUND, BECOMING A LIFESTYTLE COACH AND PERSONAL TRAINER WAS DEFINITELY NOT SOMETHING I EXPECTED TO DO; BUT BEING ABLE TO SHARE MY KNOWLEDGE AND PASSION FOR FITNESS HAS ALLOWED ME TO HELP MANY PEOPLE ACHIEVE WHAT THEY THOUGHT WAS NOT POSSIBLE.
I BELIEVE THAT NO TWO CLIENTS ARE EVER THE SAME. PEOPLE MAY SHARE THE SAME GOALS, BUT ULTIMATELY I ALWAYS TAKE A HOLLISTIC APPROACH AND GIVE CAREFUL ATTENTION TO WHAT THEIR NEEDS ARE BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE GYM.
EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT STARTING POINT, AND WITH THAT I ENSURE THAT EACH INDIVIDUAL CLIENT’S “BLUEPRYNT” IS TAILORED AND UNIQUE TO THEM; FROM THE EXERCISE SELECTION, INTENSITY, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. TAKING THIS STEP FORWARD MIGHT BE DAUNTING TO SOME, AND IT MIGHT BE A CHANGE YOU’VE BEEN CONSIDERING TO FOCUS ON FOR A WHILE, AND FOR THAT REASON I ALWAYS MAKE IT A GOAL OF MINE TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF THE TIME YOU INVEST IN YOURSELF.
MY MAIN PRIORITY WILL BE TO FOCUS ON EXERCISES AND A DIETARY PLAN THAT WORKS SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU, SO WE CAN FOCUS RESULTS AND NOT BURN OUT OR INFORMATION OVERLOAD. ITS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THIS JOURNEY IS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT, BUT AS YOUR COACH I’LL MAKE SURE TO GIVE YOU ALL THE NECESSARY TOOLS AND ADVICE YOU NEED TO SUCCEED.
I’M HERE TO MAKE SURE THAT HEALTH AND FITNESS ISN’T A CHORE OR A CHALLENGE, BUT INSTEAD A POSITIVE ADDITION TO YOUR LIFESTYLE THAT IS BOTH SUSTAINABLE AND ENJOYABLE WHILE ALSO PRODUCING RESULTS.
